How the New Summoning System Works:
Bosses are now free to Diablo 4 Items summon, removing the need to grind materials.
Instead of dropping loot directly, bosses will drop a Hoard Chest.
To open the chest, players need a Lair Key, which replaces the old summoning materials.
Every player in a party must have their own Lair Key to open their chest.
Blizzard introduced this change after player feedback pointed out an issue where some players would join a party, let someone else buy Diablo 4 Items, collect rewards, and leave. To address this, they've made it so that each party member needs their own Lair Key to open their loot chest.
More Rewards for Playing at a Party
To encourage co-op gameplay, Blizzard is also introducing a 33% increased chance of the extra Unique Diablo 4 Items for each additional party member. This means that playing with a full party significantly increases the odds of finding rare loot, making group boss fights even more rewarding.
New Boss Powers System- Steal Abilities from Bosses
A completely new mechanic coming in Season 8 is Boss Powers, which allows players to steal and use abilities from bosses to enhance their builds.
Boss Powers can be collected from all 24 World, Event, and Lair encounters.
Each Boss Power has two effects:
A main ability that provides a powerful bonus.
A modifier that further enhances the main ability.
Players can equip one main power and three modifier powers in a Power Slot at a time.
This new system gives players more customization and makes boss fights more rewarding than just dropping loot. Instead of just farming for gear, players can use the bosses' strengths against them.
With 24 bosses in the game, this opens up new build possibilities and allows for more strategic choices in Diablo 4 materials endgame character development.
